Graduate Degrees
To pursue a master’s degree or doctoral degree, one must meet eligibility and enroll in the Graduate School. If you are undecided about the department in which you wish to pursue the degree, you may in enroll in Graduate Non-degree status. This status permits you to take up to 10 credit hours before declaring a major. This option allows you time to explore several departments to select a major. This option is not available to individuals who have already been enrolled as a graduate student at OSU in either a master’s or doctoral program. If you were previously enrolled in a graduate program at OSU but are not currently taking classes, you do not need to re-apply. You must initiate contact with the academic department in which you were last enrolled for your major course of study. The department can re-activate your registration materials. You can then choose to remain in that department or transfer to the department of your choice (Graduate Programs) if your goal is to pursue a degree.
