THINKING ABOUT RETIREMENT?
If you are in the stage of just beginning
to think about retirement but do not know where to begin, please
visit the OSU Human Resources retirement website below that will help
you get started. This website lists upcoming retirement forums you could
attend, provides you with a retirement planning worksheet, and it also
outlines the various retirement plans for you to choose from:
http://hr.osu.edu/benefits/retirehome.htm
If you are ready to begin finalizing plans to retire from
OSU, there are several sources of advice and counseling available to you.
Your first step might be to make an appointment with your retirement provider
(either Ohio Public Employees Retirement System or State Teachers Retirement
System) to gain more information about your eligibility and the processes
involved. Then contact the OSU Retirement Coordinator (Pam Clark) to inform
her of your retirement plans and to see what else needs to be done to
begin your retirement process from the university.
